Khao San Road Night Market, one of the famous Bangkok attractions attracts thousands of tourists everyday. Aside from numerous stalls selling different kinds of shopping finds – restaurants, hotels, bookstores, bars and even barber shops can be also found here. You can even enjoy live music and street performances as you roam around and start your shopping spree!

Train Night Market Ratchada is fairly new compared to the other night markets featured in our Thailand travel guide but even so, locals and tourists have come to this place looking to spend their money on anything that interests them. The name was derived from the older night market which was located a little off the city centre – making it a little inconvenient for people to go to. Thankfully, the Train Night Market Ratchada is located just within the city and takes only a subway to get to the location. There are also live music performances as well as different types of restaurants and bars that can be found here.

Liab Duan Night Market

Liab Duan Night Market is Bangkok’s largest night market and although it’s located quite far from the city centre, it still attracts tourists and locals to come shop and dine. When you’re visiting a night market, one of the things to do in Thailand is to buy local food that’s sold from the food stalls. Enjoy munching on delicious Thai food before completing your Bangkok shopping spree. Unlike other places to visit in Bangkok, the Liab Duan Night Market has two areas – indoor and outdoor. Stroll the night away as you pass by different clothing stores, food stores, pubs, bakeries and much more. Cheap handmade products, as well as second-hand goods can also be bought here.

Train Night Market Srinkarin

Connected to the previously mentioned Train Night Market Ratchada, our next entry is the original Train Market that is far from the city centre. The name was inspired by its location as it is set beside an old-fashion railway station. And although a newer night market opened in 2015, people still choose to come and shop here.

JJ Green Market

The Jatuchak Green Market or more commonly known as JJ Green Market is part standard market and one part flea market. This vintage night market sells items from vintage collectibles like old car parts, watches, decors to clothes, bags, shoes and so much more. Although the food and drinks options are lesser than the other night markets, there are still quite a few choices you can try.

TALAD Neon

Set within the area of Central World Business Centre and Watergate, the Neon Night Market can probably be named as Bangkok’s best night market. Its location in the heart of the city is a great bonus, aside from having more than 900 shops and 200 parking spaces to cater to all the guests. The whole Bangkok attraction covers an area of 5600 square metres, and sells products that range from handbags, clothes, accessories. Different restaurant options are available too!

This is the third railway market in Bangkok which is based on the concept of the old train markets which we mentioned earlier. The Train Night Market Kaset Nawamin like the others, are divided into two parts, covering retail shopping needs as well as food essentials. There’s also a live DJ and some band performances for different types of entertainment.

As you are listing down where you can go in the city, don’t forget one of the places to visit in Bangkok is Siam Gypsy – a hip night market located just beside the famous Chatuchak Market. Find some vintage classics as you make your way to the stalls, looking through a variety of awesome finds along the way. Aside from the retro furniture shops, there are also low-key bars and coffee shops available if you want to take a break from your Bangkok shopping adventure. You can expect things to get livelier during Friday and Saturday nights where more people come here to enjoy an al fresco drinking environment.

The Hua Mum Market was established in Sept 2015 and mostly caters to locals. Most of the vendors can’t speak English so it can be tricky if you’re making a purchase. During your Bangkok travel adventure, make sure to have a calculator and google translate ready in case any miscommunication occurs! Hua Mum Market & More has over 100 shops and restaurants and offers various items like clothing, accessories, food and anything else you can think of. There are even tattoo artists that can do your tattoo, if you feel like having one. Aside from that there are also live performances that await you.

INDY Market

Covering about 10 hectares and offering more than 500 shops and restaurants, the Indy Night Market is definitely one of the places to visit in Bangkok. Cheap jewellery, clothing, handbags, shoes and other handmade products are sold here. And just the same as the other night markets, if you want to take a pause from shopping, you can dine and drink in any of the bars in the area.
