As you prepare to go diving, don’t forget to bring your underwater camera to make sure you capture Similan Islands’ rich marine life! You can expect to see different types of sea turtles such as the green turtle, hawksbill turtle, olive ridley turtle, and leatherback turtle. There are more from this list but some of these species have not been seen for the last couple of years.

Remember that it is important not to scare the sea turtles and be mindful when swimming around them. It is best to observe them from a short distance – they can bite you but will only do so if they feel scared or harassed. While it is a one of a lifetime experience, be sure to take into consideration the fact that most of these species are considered endangered so be cautious when you go swimming with them and bring your trash with you as it can harm these gentle reptiles.
