About Yonsei University
Yonsei University is the oldest private university in Seoul, South Korea. It was established in 1885 by Christian missionaries. Located at Sinchon-dong in the heart of Seoul, this university is synonymous to the word surreal because of its lovely surroundings especially during winter where everything is all white and magical. Yonsei University excels in giving quality education to future leaders who will contribute to humanity with truth and freedom.
The winter program at Yonsei University is a 6-week program offered to international students who like to enjoy winter in South Korea. This program will be divided into two making it a 3-week session each. This winter program is composed of general studies, Korean studies, intensive coursework in the morning, and a Korean language and Taekwondo classes in the afternoon. Students can also enjoy Korean winter activities during the weekend.
This program is open to all college students or high school seniors who are currently enrolled in an accredited college or university with a minimum GPA of 2.0 / 4.0. For application procedure, visit winter.yonsei.ac.kr.
Life on Campus
Your student life in South Korea will be more exciting when you experience your privileges as a student of Yonsei. Enjoy the different facilities and services of Yonsei University such as getting internet access on Campus, setting up your school email account, and access to computer labs. Unleash your athletic spirit at the university’s gymnasium, tennis court, and main athletic field. You can also get an easy access to the student union building, central library, and Yonsei-Samsung library, global lounge, and more.
Yonsei University will arrange spaces at SK Global House and I-House for their international students. These on-campus facilities are located near the east entrance making it more convenient for you to reach the university with just a few walks. However, due to limited room availability, we recommend that you apply for the on-campus housing as soon as you receive your admission number because Yonsei University will not provide off-campus housing for students.
