Being known as the Riviera of the South China Sea, with 6km of coastline and sandy white beaches, an abundance of marine life and thriving reefs around, Nha Trang has always been a popular destination for tourist worldwide. By choosing the correct season to visit here is crucial for a pleasing trip. Let’s find out what is the best time to visit Nha Trang that guarantees a pleasant trip.

The Peak Season

Normally, it is also referred to as the dry season. It falls from January till August. The temperature in between this period will be relatively high, can go as low as 18˚C and an average temperature of 30˚C.

Travel141 | Vietnam Travel Guide: The Best Time to Visit Nha Trang | reak

Usually, there are lots of tourists would visit Nha Trang during the peak season for the breath-taking beaches here. There will also be scuba diving and snorkelling activities held within this period. Similarly, the hotel prices within this period would be relatively pricier than the non-peak season.

The Low Season

Also being referred to as the rainy season, due to the monsoon seasons. It falls from September till December. The beach activities here will normally be suspended and stop for the period. There will also be drizzle rain here most of the time.

Travel141 | Vietnam Travel Guide: The Best Time to Visit Nha Trang | rain

As a result, the hotel price between this period will be lower due to the unsteady weather. However, this is also a perfect period for beach surfers, as they can surf under the huge waves. There will also be thunderstorms or typhoons in the rainy season. But all in all, it is certainly a wet season and not recommended if you are a fan of the sunny beaches.

The Best Season

Though the summer in Nha Trang is between July and August, it is not the perfect season to visit here as you need to bring sunblock and umbrella at the same time, to prevent a sudden pouring rain when it’s close to autumn (September).

Travel141 | Vietnam Travel Guide: The Best Time to Visit Nha Trang | best

Compiling all the data, February to April is the best season to visit Nha Trang, as the weather here is just nice with an average temperature of 26˚C. You could enjoy the view, the sun, the attractions, as well as beach activities all within a mild and pleasant temperature and rainfall is low.

Travel smart while having fun with these travel tips for your 2019 travels | Travelling for 2019 | Travel141

Travellers nowadays are very lucky because mobile phones make it easy to do virtually anything. From finding hotel locations to translating languages, you can do it on your phone. But of course, before travelling for 2019, it’s wise to read up on local culture and area to know which place to tick off your list first. It’s also a must that you know a few basic words and phrases to make it easier to communicate with the locals.

4. Exchange currency in advance

Travel smart while having fun with these travel tips for your 2019 travels | Travelling for 2019 | Travel141

Next tip on our list of travel tips is to make sure you exchange currency in advance. Even if you think those credit cards can save you from all your travel expenses including food, entrance fees, and shopping, it’s still important to stack some cash in your wallet.

5. Pack clothes that are suitable for your destination

Travel smart while having fun with these travel tips for your 2019 travels | Travelling for 2019 | Travel141

You don’t wear jackets in tropical countries like Thailand or Philippines, don’t ya? Or, wear tank tops to South Korea or Japan on a winter season? You’ll look weird not only to the locals but to other travellers too. Make sure to know the weather when you’re visiting so you know which kind of clothes to pack. Then again, try to pack light if you plan to go on several shopping sprees.

6. Bring a backpack or a tiny purse

Travel smart while having fun with these travel tips for your 2019 travels | Travelling for 2019 | Travel141

Adventure travellers and solo backpackers can relate to this! You don’t need to bring your huge, luxurious Gucci bag if you want to enjoy hiking or walking. Make sure you pack a bag or backpack that can store all your basic essentials when you’re out and about. Doing this will spare you from the hassle of lugging around a big bag especially if you plan to take the bus or train.

7. Make some local friends
