1.Kek Lok Si Temple
As the largest Buddhist temple in Malaysia, Kek Lok Si Temple is no doubt one of the must-visit locations in town. Founded more than a hundred years ago, this temple is now filled with millions of magnificent images of Buddha, beautiful sculptures, and carving on temple halls, pagodas, and archways.

2. Penang Hill
Penang Hill, also known as Bukit Bendera, was the first colonial hill station developed in Peninsular Malaysia. Its high standing view at 833 meters (2733 ft) above sea level will reward you with a breathtaking view of the island city. Aside from a spectacular overlooking, Penang hill is covered by tropical rain forest – exotic floras and faunas are abundant all over the hills.

3. Tropical Spice Garden

4. Penang Street Art
Stroll around Georgetown’s streets and you’ll discover the famous Penang Street Art by Ernest Zacharevic. The most widely known mural art, the 20-foot high ‘Little Girl In Blue’ is also just along Muntri Street. You can find Zacharevic’s artworks spread out along Penang roads like Muntri, Weld Quay, Lebuh Leith, Armenian, Ah Quee Street, and more. Be sure to take photos with these Instagram-worthy murals!
5. The Habitat Penang Hill
The Habitat Penang Hill is a world-class rain forest discovery centre which enables people to experience nature with minimal impact on the environment. What’s more impressive is that during the construction of the 1.6km nature trail, an iconic treetop walkway, and canopy bridge, less than 10 trees were cut.

6. Pinang Peranakan Mansion
“Peranakan” (also known as baba and nyonya) is the native-born of local and colonial British which left a rich cultural influence in Penang today! One of the amazing things about Pinang Peranakan Mansion – a typical home of a rich Baba over a century ago! Its unique architecture, interior design, and over 1000 pieces of antiques offer a timeless window into the past.

7. Penang Little India
Eat and shop like a local at Little India, Penang! It’s a place to enjoy cheap local food, colorful bulb lighting, the smell of various spices in the air, and Indian music blaring from loudspeakers.

9. Clan of Jetties
Clan of Jetties is one of the interesting places to visit in Penang. There used to be 7 jetties, but one of them had been destroyed by fire. Each of the jetties is named after a Chinese clan. With its longest walkway, most stilt-houses, Chew Jetty has become the most tourist-friendly spot worth stopping by.
10. Fort Cornwallis
Fort Cornwallis was built by the British East Indian Company in the late 18th century – also the largest standing fort in Malaysia. There’s so much to explore here including a drawbridge, cannon, and lighthouse.
