The Best Quiet Places in Kuala Lumpur
Every now and then, you would just like to escape from the hustle-bustle city, tired of the packed crowds lining up for a cup of Boba Milk Tea, craving for some quiet places in Kuala Lumpur, soaked in your very own Me time.
We have the same thought and decided to come out with our very own research on this. Guess what, there are indeed some serene and solitude places inside Kuala Lumpur that are obvious yet we barely notice it… Let’s find out now!
1. Perdana Botanical Garden
Perhaps the easiest that we could have missed out is Perdana Botanical Garden. Simply because this huge garden is hidden in the middle of the city, surrounded by multiple highways and several oblivious structures, such as the Malaysian Royal Police Headquarters Bukit Aman, the Parliament of Malaysia, and the National Mosque.
This place is being enveloped by wondrous floras that are a heaven for those who love flowers. Formerly known as Lake Gardens or Taman Tasik Perdana, this is a home for collections of indigenous tropical plants. It is the perfect location to spend your evening with the smell of lush greeneries. Definitely one of the quiet places in Kuala Lumpur.
Featuring an all-black interior with high ceilings and cosy lighting, combining a grungy and rustic setting is what VCR is all about. With the combination of wooden floor, tables, chairs and decorations as one, it brings out the authentic European style elegance right up.
If you walk up to the second floor, you would be welcomed by two rows of full glass window panels and rays of sunlight that shines on a light pavement. Though it might be crowded on weekends, you can still enjoy a sip of strong coffee while typing up your business plan in a smooth and peaceful environment. You won’t be bothered by noise as well.
3. Thean Hou Temple
This turns out to be a surprise for our list. As Thean Hou Temple is a famous place for Chinese to register their marriage here, it turns out this place is more than just that. This Chinese temple is located on top of a mountain in the city centre, face right against the famous Mid Valley Megamall Shopping Centre.
You could climb up the grand 6-tiered Buddhist Temple, which is full of rich cultural elements and traditional designs to avoid the hustle-bustle of the city while climbing up the top patio and let the city fades away. Let the soft breeze take you away from your worries temporarily and enjoy the temperament peace…
4. KLCC Park
Throughout the year, KLCC Park will be full of people, especially being situated next to the Suria KLCC Shopping Centre and KLCC Convention Centre, where events were occasionally being held almost every single month. So where does the tranquil and zen moment comes?
Despite the crowd, you can still find a place or two within the huge park, where you can sit idly watching the eye-catching fountain, while noticing the jogger having a nice evening walk, with children playing around the playground, and some tourist or foreigners lying down on a picnic mat reading a book while enjoying the sun.
If you place all these pieces together, you could even write your own book here! This is the perhaps one of the best quiet places in Kuala Lumpur.
