For just weekend of the year, the sea parts due to the tides so you are able to walk from Jindo island to a smaller island 2.8km away. It is called the miracle walk. This was the first walk this morning at 6 a.m. #Jindo #Korea #진도 #sea #vacay #jindoseapartingfestival #goodtimesROK
The Jindo miracle sea road festival is kind of similar to the miracle of Moses parting the sea except that this festival’s story occurs with a woman. It came from a mythical story where Jindo island was attacked by vicious tigers and only one woman didn’t escape so she prayed to the deity to part the sea so she can go to the neighbouring island, and it happened. Now, every year South Koreans celebrate in the morning at 6 am during low tide and they light a torch and march towards the sea.
Boryeong Mud Festival
July 12-21, 2019
Want another beauty secret? Take part in the Boryeong Mud Festival! Festival-goers apply the boryeong mud on their face and all over their body. It is a tradition for Koreans to use this kind of mud as a great skin remedy because it contains rich-minerals that remove excess sebum from the skin and reduce scars and acne.
