Not only is the golf course variety in Thailand great, it is also affordable compared to other competing Asian destinations. Regardless of the city you are in, we are sure to find the best golf course in Thailand for you.
1. Chiang Mai
Starting off up north in Chiang Mai, which is known as the ‘Rose of the North’ due to its tranquil and laid-back vibe, Alpine Golf Resort is easily one of the best places to play golf in Thailand. Alpine Golf Resort features a challenging 27-hole international championship golf course that is divided into 3 different courses, each spanning over 27,000 sqft. 3. Hua Hin
Located in the centre of Thailand and just a few hours away from Bangkok, Hua Hin is perfect if you are looking for a short respite. At Banyan Golf Club, you can be assured of a relaxing weekend of golf as you admire the sunset view of the Burmese mountains. 4. Koh Samui
Further down south lies Koh Samui, which is also Thailand’s second largest island. Ending off this list is Red Mountain Golf Club, which is a former tin mine site. Since then, the area has been transformed into a driving range which cleverly makes use of the landforms and elevation changes to provide a challenging course to even a professional golfer. In fact, some of the changes in elevation are so sudden that having a golf cart is a must. However, not to worry if you are not an experienced golfer as there are different golf courses suited for golfers of different levels. This Thai golf course has also been a host to several prominent golf tournaments including the BMW Tournament.
